Membership is still only $10 Individual - $15 per Couple
Memberships - along with fundraisers - are the primary sources of funding.
We are not a government organization and although we have occasionally received grants and donations - we do not currently have a regular source of funding.
Your memberships and donations are how we have been able to continue.
We were founded by Mary Louise "Mother" Morgan and officially became a 501 ( c ) 3 Non Profit 27 years ago - filed on March 27, 1984 and signed by (then) Secretary of State George Firestone March 28, 1984 originally as
Freedom Seven Senior Citizens Community Center
Now... 27 years later - still the local, grassroots, private, Non Profit with the same mission statement "to provide wellness, educational, social and recreational activities (primarily) for seniors in Cocoa Beach, Cape Canaveral, Merritt Island - but open to adults of all ages and from all areas.
The members volunteer, teach, lead, help with all aspects of running F7.
Your memberships and small donations for various activities, plus your attendance at bigger fundraisers - truly enables us to stay operational.
We long for our own home one day but our "temporary home" since 2005 - is still inside the Cocoa Beach Country Club Auditorium Monday thru Thursday - as well as the adjoining hall and kitchenette, plus Admin Office backstage.

Due to low ridership the SCAT Bus Route 7 was discontinued October 2010.
We have been told by SCAT that the paratransit service can help seniors who need to travel by bus for social, medical, shopping etc.. but they must call and reserve in advance. For more information call SCAT 633-1878 and press Option 4 for paratransit department. To register and to make your reservations for pick up between 24 hours - and up to 7 days in advance.

Tickets have always cost $15 each and included tons of food, one drink - soft or hard, Silent Auction, Live Band - has been Delgado past few years, 50-50 Raffle, and much more!

Dr. Strater's February and March Wellness Classes have been cancelled.

Most of our activities are led or taught by members of F7 or Perks Partners. Some are presented by others in the community. If you want to come lead a class or activity - please call us to inquire.

Monday

Chris Lyle's Road to Wellness will be on Tuesday - see below.
Fricky Vaughn will teach Beginner Bridge when we have a group together. Please call me at 783-9505.
Freedom 7 receives a donation from the students from each class - $1 Members $2 Non Members.
This is for beginners & those who want to "brush up."
Mah Jongg Lessons are taught through out the year - usually in 6 or 8 week sessions - but the instructors are on break now.
Call office to get on the Wait List and for more info.
Year Round : Travel Desk: 11:00am - Noon, talk with Lee Rosenkranz about upcoming trips: Freedom 7 Members get a discount on travel.
Year Round : Party Bridge/Rubber Bridge: 12 Noon (sign in 11:30am)
Year Round : Mah Jongg: 12 Noon (sign in at 11:30am)
Mah Jongg Lessons - call to sign up for the next class, need at least 8 people signed up.

Tuesday

**At this point - based on the input from members & friends - we will not be hosting Yoga, Pilates, Zumba - instead we encourage people to call explore the Yoga Classes at the Cocoa Beach Library as well as Cocoa Beach Health & Fitness and also Pro Health in Merritt Island
Small Computer Class: 8 week course 10am for one hour, $35 Members/$45 Non Members (join F7 - only $10 annually - and save!!) call to be placed on the waiting list
We can schedule Scrabble, Dominoes, Rummy Cube, and more - call to get your name on list and we will coordinate.
Start Date unconfirmed - please call Chris - but Possibly January 10, 2012 "Road to Wellness" Chris Lyle's Annual indoor wellness class in Auditorium will run through March or April.

Aqua Fit: Tuesday & Thursday : Summer Hours 10am to 11am - at the Pool with Chris Lyle

Wednesday

Pinochle will play on the "First Wednesday" (sign in at 9:30a) when it is the CBWC "First Thursday" of the Month and Cocoa Beach Woman's Club meets in the Auditorium
Wednesday's (and Tuesday's)are used often for special events such as speakers, luncheons, wellness presentations...please see the special events section of the website or the hardcopy flier. Call office to inquire or reserve.

Thursday

Pinochle - sign in at 9:30am - official play starts at 10am

Cocoa Beach Woman's Club meets in the stage half of Auditorium and adjoining hall area on first Thursday of the month 7 out of 12 months per year, two months they take break for summer and the other 3 months they meet in Country Club Dining Room or other pre-planned location.
